Friso Global Web Toolkit

Friso is the premium infant nutrition brand of Royal FrieslandCampina, one of the world’s largest dairy companies.

To translate Friso’s philosophy of creating moments between mother and child into a digital experience, we drew a road map in the form of a web toolkit to help create a consistent brand image and digital experience for Friso’s customers across the globe.

Concept

To create a global web template for the brand that is refreshing, informative and visually inviting. To achieve UX consistency, the global web template must communicate the same design and layout across local markets while maintaining this experience across all devices.

Development

An IA and UX revamp was conducted prior to the interface design to map information feed based on user journey. A responsive design approach was employed to achieve optimum user experience across device screens. Front-end templates were developed with ease of implementation in mind, to allow individual countries to use the global template for localisation.

Treatment, Colours and Textures

Pastel colours blended with soft textures create a warm and inviting look and feel for the website.

Colours speak directly to the eye and the heart – as such, these colours were used to differentiate products in the Friso range and communicate the different phases of life a mother and child experience.

Site navigation is made simple and straightforward with information organised into the different phases that a mother and child experience while growing up together.



Web Style Guide

To supplement the web templates, we developed a Web Style Guide detailing the design and technical specifications of the templates to assist markets in adding their localised content and deploying their site.

This toolkit package coupled with consultation support for each market forms the global rollout plan for this project that we are executing in partnership with the client.

The Friso global brand web template is a culmination of an improved information architecture and user experience with a new web interface design. We successfully delivered:
